Amarylis Coltraine is a police officer and is dead. She's in a relationship with one of Eve's friends, as Eve starts to dig what she finds is more questions than answers and ties that link back to Alex Ricker, the son of a man Eve clashed with before. A man determined to make Eve pay.

It's pretty typical Eve Dallas stuff, some of the twists were quite interesting, some of it did strain credulity but didn't quite break it for me. An enjoyable visit with characters that can be enjoyed but nothing terribly memorable.
