Coco Pinchard, the Consequences of Love and Sex by Robert Bryndza

Coco Pinchard, the Consequences of Love and Sex (Coco Pinchard, #3)

by Robert Bryndza

'I love the fact that Robert Bryndza can turn his hand to both crime thrillers and comedy! If you haven't discovered Coco Pinchard yet, then this is the perfect introduction!' Joanne Robertson, My Chestnut Reading Tree

Since Coco Pinchard found first husband Daniel in bed with another woman, she hasn't just picked up the pieces: she's now a best-selling author married to her hunky soul-mate Adam. She feels stronger and wiser and surely the second time round she'll have learnt from her mistakes?

But things aren't going quite according to plan... Adam has lost his job, Coco's grown-up son Rosencrantz seems to have derailed his life in spectacular fashion, and ex-mother-in-law Ethel keeps letting herself into the house thanks to an endless supply of spare keys. When literary agent Angie takes on Coco's arch rival, the indomitable Regina Battenberg, it looks as though things can't get any worse. And then Coco discovers she's pregnant; at 44.

Can she really go through it all again? Sleepless nights, stretch marks on top of stretch marks, and poo as a normal topic of conversation?

The third book in Robert Bryndza's bestselling Coco Pinchard series (which can also be enjoyed as a stand-alone story) is a hilarious diary with Coco's trademark wit and honesty, tracing the raging hormones and extraordinary twists that take her to motherhood for the second time.

I do not want to write this review, I really don’t. I am sulking, it is coming up to my last day on this tour, and I just finished the last book in the series and now I have to review it. I don’t want to…

So you alright? How is the weather where you are? Reading anything nice?

Oh ok!! Fine I will write this review!

I hate the book, haha JOKING! I bloody loved this book, what do I hate? That is it the last one!!!! Come on Mr Bryndza, you know you want to write another one, take a break from Erika, Coco is calling! I have to know what happens next!

Well, my wish from my previous post did not come true, Coco was not given a break! And to make it worse, there was leakage in my eyes from a couple of clangers that were thrown in. The cruelty of it all!

So, Coco, she is married, not so grown up, and trying to start her new life with Adam. From events from the 3rd book, Adam is struggling to find a job, Rosencrantz goes off the rails, Ethel, well she is just Ethel, and Coco is pregnant.

….

Wait…what! Yes, you read it here (after reading the blurb!) that Coco at the young age of 44 is pregnant again! We are living vicariously through Coco’s diary entries this time, as sending emails are now not the done thing! I did kind of miss the emails, but the diary entries worked really well.

I was still chuckling a LOT in this book! I mean seriously Ethel! She is still a hoot, and more so from the previous books! She steals the show in my eyes, after Coco. Ethel has no qualms in telling anyone exactly what she thinks and gets things done, where Coco just flounders along in life. However, Coco is just as endearing as ever! She doesn’t look after herself but everyone else AGAIN! And as usual, in the typical Coco fashion, things do not work how they are meant to. There is so much happening in this book, and the old favourites are back. I will not spoil the plot about talking about everyone, but just remind you that Ethel is my favourite! The one thing I will say when Coco was having nightmares, the one about Ethel just had me howling! That is it, that is all I will say, apart from you must read it!

If you have not guessed, I have absolutely adored this series, and I really do not want this to end! In fact, I demand it does not! Guess what I am back again tomorrow with the two novellas from the series and then it is over and all I am left with is a book hangover.

For me, this is not the last time I will read anything written by Mr Bryndza as I have his Erika Foster series on my Kindle, albeit the other end of the spectrum to Coco but once you have read something by Robert there is no going back.

The writing is so easy to read, and it flows. I have devoured 3 of his books in 3 days! This is how much I have become addicted to his writing and his stories. Thank you for allowing me the pleasure of being on this tour, and discovering a new series I will cherish in my heart for a VERY long time
