While the plot for Run to You was predictable the characters made the tale come to life providing me a wonderful afternoon escape. I enjoyed the banter; the silly nicknames and watching Beau fight with his conscience. As Beau and Stella traveled across country to Texas, we got to know them, even making a stop at Beau’s family home. The point of view switches back and forth making us privy to their thoughts. This is something I am coming to love in my romance novels. It helped me understand the characters and form attachments. There is a suspenseful thread woven into this contemporary romance that kept things interesting. The tale wraps up nicely and I am curious about the other characters and their stories.
If you are looking for a fast, fun, smexy read then Run to You will provide the perfect afternoon escape. I look forward to reading more of Rachel Gibson’s contemporary romances.
