The next chapter in the #1 New York Times bestselling Percy Jackson universe! Book 1 of The Heroes of Olympus fantasy adventure series for readers ages 10 and up.
Classmates Jason, Piper, and Leo learn they are actually demigods who must embark on a quest to rescue a certain missing deity…
Jason has a problem. He doesn’t remember anything before waking up on a school bus holding hands with a girl. Apparently she’s his girlfriend Piper, his best friend is a kid named Leo, and they’re all students in the Wilderness School, a boarding school for “bad kids.” What he did to end up here, Jason has no idea―except that everything seems very wrong.
Piper has a secret. Her father has been missing for 3 days, and her vivid nightmares reveal that he’s in terrible danger. Now her boyfriend doesn’t recognize her, and when a freak storm and strange creatures attack during a school field trip, she, Jason, and Leo are whisked away to someplace called Camp Half-Blood. What is going on?
Leo has a way with tools. His new cabin at Camp Half-Blood is filled with them. Seriously, the place beats Wilderness School hands down, with its weapons training, monsters, and fine-looking girls. What’s troubling is the curse everyone keeps talking about, and that a camper’s gone missing. Weirdest of all, his bunkmates insist they are all―including Leo―related to a god.
Fans of demigods, prophesies, and quests will be left breathless—and ready to tear into the next chapter of Heroes of Olympus!
You can already guess it: I love love love the book. After I devoured the Percy Jackson novel I was eager to get hold of the next series. I'm very pleased to say that Rick Riordan didn't let me down with The Lost Hero.
It's amazing how he introduced a new set of characters you will grow fond of within the first 10 pages. I won't dwell on the Greek mythology part but you all know by now how much I adore that stuff and especially Riordan's adaptation.
And I really want to know what the hell happened to Percy!
Obviously I can't wait to get my hands on the next part!
Rick Riordan managed to write another amazing novel that is absolutely impossible to put down. Just as wonderful as his other novels. A must read!
