Van is quiet and closed off from everyone. With his past haunting him, Van likes to keep to himself and only make small conversation with his Cold Fury teammates when he has to. His closest friend is Lucas since he lives with him. But his world gets turned upside down when Lucas’s sister, Simone, moves into their house after dropping out of college. Simone is instantly attracted to Van and sees a challenge in front of her to get him to let her in. As her persistence starts to pay off, Van starts to worry that he has the same tendencies as his father, a convicted rapist and murderer and that he should push Simone away. When Van’s past is revealed, the support he receives shocks him.
Simone is one of my favourite heroines by Sawyer Bennett as I love her go-getter attitude. This book made me laugh out loud a few times. The chemistry between Van and Simone was definitely hot.
I recommend this book
