"Sometimes we don't see things that are right in front of our eyes."
Marcus and Lyra both work for government agencies that both prefer their agents to be in committed relationships to move up in the ranks. They both turn to a dating app that matches them to each other, and they conveniently live next door to each other. As they start to spend time together, their dates keep getting interrupted with their work which they have to lie to each other about why they have to leave. As they get closer, it becomes harder and harder to lie.
Marcus and Lyra's story is witty and mysterious with some interesting twists. I enjoyed the book and the cliffhanger has me wishing book two was coming sooner. I felt that the story took a little bit to get going, but I could not put it down once it did. The banter between Marcus and Lyra was great. The secondary characters gave some great entertainment also. I am looking forward to the next book in the series.
