A Cursed Moon

by Cecy Robson

Meet the furry big brother that the Wird sisters never had… Bren is a cocky, brash hound of a werewolf who loathes the idea of belonging to Aric’s pack—much less finding a mate. But Bren’s hotheaded behavior lands him in the doghouse when he defies Aric’s authority in front of his pack, bringing up a sore subject that’s bound to make the Alpha wolf’s blood boil… Luckily for him, no one can stay mad at Bren and his wild charm for long. And when some frightening ghosts launch a hostile paranormal takeover, Bren will team up with Celia Wird to take down the evil ghouls before they hurt someone they both love… Includes a preview of the upcoming Weird Girls novel Cursed by Destiny!

Are you reading the Weird Girl series by Cecy Robson? You should be! This is a wickedly good, action-packed; make you pull your hair out urban fantasy. It is a story I cannot get enough of. I am usually not a fan of all the little side novellas in a series. In truth, I normally skip them. That did not stop me from scooping up, A Cursed Moon, and consumed it in a single sitting. I read this for the simple fact that I cannot get enough of this world and its characters. Ok, *rolls eyes* maybe the snarky, sexy, misunderstood, loyal, lone wolf, Bren had a little something to do with it. What? Don’t look at me like that. He is hot, and Robson really peeled back his layers with A Cursed Moon. I adored Bren, and I want more!

A Cursed Moon takes place between the last book A Cursed Embrace and before the next book Cursed By Destiny, which releases January 7th, 2014. It focuses on Bren. He is a lone wolf and the Celia’s best friend. I was immediately drawn into the story, despite the feeling of forced humor in the first few pages. Robson got her groove on and totally delivered fleshing out Bren. She left subtle clues as to where the series is heading, and offered some creep-tastic battle scenes with supernatural creatures, and a little old lady. The story had suspense, danger, humor, and a few brilliant twists. Favorite characters make an appearance and enhance this story. I laughed and cried as I read this tale. I closed A Cursed Moon having a solid understanding of Bren, making me one seriously happy fangirl.
