With this new series, Carter breaks from the formula of her prior one a bit - in this one, both halves of the lead couple come from the same broken situation. The story works well within the world Carter crafts here - unfortunately an all too real one. The romance and emotion are palpable, and while it isn't as obvious where this new series will progress from here, by the end of this tale this reader was looking forward to seeing these characters again.
