Eternal Seas by Lexi Rees

Eternal Seas (The Relic Hunters, #1)

by Lexi Rees

Such a small parcel shouldn't cause experienced smugglers much trouble. But, as Finn and Aria discover, this is the most dangerous delivery of their lives. Battered by storms and chased across the globe by an evil warlord, they enlist the help of a strange witch-doctor. Together, they struggle to solve the mystery while the fate of an ancient civilisation depends on them, and time is running out …

Eternal Seas is a thrilling adventure for children aged seven to twelve.

I managed to listen to this book in one sitting, as it is only 3 hours long but in those 3 hours, you are swept along in the fast lane on an adventure like no other. Delivering a parcel, which Finn and Aria have been told DO NOT OPEN, by their father reveals so many secrets that they did not know. Plus obviously, the parcel was opened!

This relic they are transporting is not any normal relic but one that Finn has a true affinity for. It calls to him, where their travels across the seas.

This is a middle-grade book, aka Young Adult and a nice easy listen to fill a couple of hours. Something you can so easily lose yourself in, it brings a smile to your face as you are swept up along the way. Eternal Seas is unrelenting in such a fun way and it most definitely leaves you high and dry at the end as you now need to listen/read to the second book to find out what happens next!
