Can both Phillippe and Jenna get over their issues and be together?
One Night in Provence by Barbara Wallace is an entertaining read from start to finish. Ms. Wallace did an excellent job of telling this story with both of their point of views.
Jenna Brown
Jenna Brown is our female main character who is only in Provence, France, because of one of her patients leaving her enough money to go on an adventure. That adventure leads her there and into the arms of a handsome Frenchman. Who knew that one night in Provence could unveil so much for her. Jenna is such a great person despite being given the short end of the stick when it comes to family. That fact right there plays such an essential part of her being able to go on this journey. It took a lot for Jenna to realize something that everyone else could see, but it just took talking to her mom to realize it.
Phillippe D'Usay
Phillippe D'Usay is the last of the D'Usay line and didn't think that he would ever settle down. That is because he has lost so much already and he didn't want to lose anyone else. That is until he met Jenna Brown. Well saw her on the terrace and he realized that he found something that he didn't know he needed. Well, until it was too late twice. Phillippe has a hard time saying how he truly feels because if he does, then he might fall for someone and he doesn't want that. He also doesn't know if anyone is ever taking a liking to him or his money. Philippe with Jenna is different as he is open and honest with her about a lot of stuff that he usually wouldn't be. However, when something traumatic happens, they realize how much they mean to each other.
Five Stars
One Night in Provence by Barbara Wallace is a Hallmark movie wrapped up in book form. Ms. Wallace did such a great job that I could picture everything happening. I felt so bad for these two every time they seemed to make progress then they'd fall back a couple of steps. This book was excellent, and I loved every minute of reading it, especially when things actually looked to be doing fine with Phillippe and Jenna.
