I do believe it is a children's book, not only thanks to the adventure it spins, the endearing child-hero and the beautiful straightforward storytelling, but mostly because it imparts life lessons in a way I know they will stick. Some of them are bitter-sweet, most of them are served with a biting, sarcastic wit (Armadillo - and no, it would not be proper for me to address it by its real name :) - truly is a riot), all of them have the power to linger, make you think, remember, smile or mope for a bit.
It's not an all happy-story, bad things do happen, people do get hurt or die, but then again, so is life...
There is power in this children story and this is what also makes it perfect for any adult searching for an enjoyable read.
