Chris McQuade is a Federal Marshall. Elizabeth Davis is on her way to WY to see her hushand. Chris is looking for an outlaw named Davis whom happens to be Elizabeth's husband. They are waylaid by some bandits and have to finish the rest of the trip on horses. Chris and Elizabeth fall in love, despite the fact that she's married. They encounter problems when her husband shows up, but that is resolved easily. This was a quick read, but predictable love story.
