I love love love the childhood best friends trope. It always gets me so excited to read a story with this trope so when I found Always My Girl, I did not hesitate in requesting and imagine my excitement when I got it! Quinn and Anna have been friends since they were young and they grew up together being very close friends. Anna always had a crush on Quinn, but he would only see her as another one of the guys. It wasn't until he saw Anna sun-bathing in a bikini that he noticed her.
She'd always been in love with Quinn. Ever since they were kids. [...] The only problem was Quinn didn't feel the same way. She was his pal. [...] There'd never once been anything romantic between them, and if he even suspected how she felt, he'd never let on.
Quinn and Anna had me pining for them so much! They are so perfect for each other! Quinn frustrated me at times with his doubts for being deserving of Anna. I guess it's understandable due to his track record, but instead of focusing on proving himself to everybody, he would just push Anna away. This would break my heart seeing as Anna would be heart-broken herself. I'm glad that they were able to get through their tough moments.
Always My Girl is filled with endearing moments and a wonderful group of friends and family that will warm your heart from beginning to end.
