However, this average-looking guy has a not-so-average problem - he just can't seem to find an opponent strong enough to take on! Every time a promising villain appears, he beats the snot out of 'em with one punch! Can Saitama finally find an opponent who can go toe-to-toe with him and give his life some meaning? The protagonist hero of One Punch Man, Saitama, is so powerful that he can defeat any enemy with a single blow. No exceptions. In contrast to Saitama’s austere, even unprotected, aspect, there are those who seek its destruction; enemies that are threatening and showy. It doesn’t matter how much they boast, or how many speeches he gives, he always wins with parsimony and with a single punch. He is therefore making new enemies, also admirers, but before everything that happens, he is bored.

There is one thing very noticeable about One-punch man: there are no lengthy backstories or complicated plots. The manga starts you off with outrageously bombastic fight scenes almost from beginning to end. Pure martial fun without snide dialogues or corny lines. The comic style of the manga makes it a joy to read and the characters, while cliché, are likeable and fun to watch. The story moves quickly and never drags. One-punch man is the perfect comic read if you’re looking for something light and enjoyable.

It’s also a great introduction to the manga genre for those who haven’t read it before. It’s the perfect way to get into the world of manga without having to slog through complex plots and characters. Overall, it’s an enjoyable read that will satisfy newcomers to the genre and long-time fans.
