I wanted to love his book, I really did. But it only made it to "really like" status. It's well written, with interesting MCs, as well as secondary characters. For some reason, I really don't know why, I didn't connect to Cody. His backstory should have grabbed me by the heart but instead it felt rather distant and emotionless. The convenient resolution to the abusive ex was too much for my suspension of disbelief mechanism.
