The only way is up...

I did not think I could love it more than the first time I read or listened to Neanderthal Marries Human but I really did. Maybe it's because I love catching up with the knitting girls. Maybe it's because I love it when Quinn goes all mushy gushy. Maybe it's because Janie is such a unique and wonderful character. Honestly, I think it's all of those reasons and more.

I don't know how many times I found myself laughing out loud in public and at first being embarrassed, then stoked because I was so thoroughly entertained. Who else can say that they love their journey to work each day?

Penny Reid you are a bloody legend. Thank you for bringing us Janie, Quinn and the Knitting in the City gang. I will be back for more soon...ish.

**********

My Quinn looks and sounds AMAZING!!

This is the biggest .5 I've ever come across and I loved it. The .5's I've read and seen are normally novella/short stories. In this case, you get the whole shebang. Trust Penny Reid to be different, original and generous. Love her for it.

What I enjoyed the most in Neanderthal Marries Human, was getting to see inside Quinn's mind. I read this one out of order and I had forgotten how much he loves Janie and what their love was based on. In the later books, he comes across as quite aloof and not quite as nice as I remembered. Sure, he always gravitates straight to Janie, but his gruff and growly came across as anti-social and a bit rude. Now, I remember. Quinn just hates sharing Janie.

WoW!! I LOVED THAT!

There is nothing as appealing as a strong and intelligent man unafraid to show his devotion. Quinn is DEVOTED!!.

Janie is her usual quirky self and totally loveable. I think in some ways she comes into her own with this one. Her priorities and confidence increases and she eventually realises that her "family" is the one she made and not the one she was born into.

I loved the narrators and think they did an amazing job. I think it's quite humorous that I don't care that Sebastian York does an atrocious female voice. That sexy voice of his and David Gandy's face (for Quinn) in mind...HUBBA HUBBA!

Seriously, this series is PERFECT on audio. I can't get enough and will be devastated when I run out (I think I only have one left). Next year is a long way off to wait for a fix. Maybe, I should take a break for a week or two to drag out how long it will last.
