First I have to say this was a very short novelette,only 5 chapters. But the story was a good one.It talked about the screening process people went through to live in Newcago .And how people were still afraid the Epics would return. It was a good transition book to Firefight. Although I think with some good editing it could almost be in the beginning of Firefight, maybe a prolouge.
