Pearl in the Sand

Pearl in the Sand is one of those books that you just can not put down. I started this book just before midnight and finished it just after six a.m. It was that good. I could not stop reading. I had to know what came next.

This book takes you on the journey of a Canaanite harlot as she discovers God and discovers that even a woman such as she could be loved and forgiven. The message in this book is clear - no matter what life brings us, we are never to the point that we can not be forgiven.

This is a book that flows smoothly. There was never any confusion as to what was happening from chapter to chapter. It was easy to read and held my interest, which as of late, has not been easy with books.

I would love to read more of Tessa Afshar's novels - I feel that subsequent novels of hers will have just as much value as this one does.
