Summary:
It all started as a little bet. Each wanted to prove the existence of the supernatural to their new friend, and neither was willing to listen. This quickly turns to chaos as a haunted tunnel and horny aliens get thrown into the mix.
Okarun may not be cursed anymore (technically?), but he does still have a specific problem. Mainly because a certain part of his anatomy is still missing, and he will need Momo's help to get them back. Awkward.
Review:
And so the chaos (and drama) continues in Dandadan Vol. 4. This serious is absolutely hilarious. Every time I think it's reached its peak, something else makes me double over laughing. I can't wait until the anime drops.
The last volume introduced a new character, and with her came a lot of drama. I think it'll be at least another volume or two before that all settles down – assuming it ever does. It is helping to push the romantic plot forward, though, so no complaints. Ironically, this volume upped the ante by introducing yet another new character. However, I wouldn't be surprised if he disappears once he's served his purpose.
Dandadan Vol. 4 starts with a bang. By that I mean a battle. It's a long, intense battle with many fan service and comical elements. It takes things to absurd levels in a way that only this series could manage.
I like the new characters and the changes they bring to the dynamics. I'm looking forward to seeing how the current/next plot goes, as it's pretty compelling. You know I love a good haunted house story. But mixing in humor will make it something wholly unique; I know it.
