After his home town is destroyed and he is denied the power by the Green Lantern Corps' creators to change the past, Hal Jordan crosses the line and strips the Guardians of the Universe of all their power.
I liked that this was a collection of short stories (so to speak), it helped me understand more about what's going on with this storyline. Also the list of Green Lanterns and Yellow Lanterns was pretty helpful.
