Summary:

Fans have long known the tragic backstory of Dr. Strange. It's what led him to become the Sorcerer Supreme. But what if Dr. Strange found a way to heal his hands, enabling him to maintain his magical titles while resuming his life in the medical world?

That is what we are about to discover as Dr. Strange learns to juggle the extremely demanding titles he has always held so dear. Will he find a balance, or will things predictably become more chaotic than ever?

Review:

Over the years, I've read countless comic series that have played around (or straight-up ret-conned) with a character's history or ability. I think Dr. Strange, Surgeon Supreme is perhaps one of the more drastic changes I've seen while sitting firmly within the core theme of the character.

That made it a unique read, to say the least! It was also fun and chaotic in a way that only medical dramas and magic mayhem can be. I enjoyed seeing Dr. Strange struggle to find a new balance between his responsibilities. More so, I was delighted to see the unique problems arising from this balance (or lack thereof).

There's a lot to love about this volume. The plot, the secondary characters, and a few surprise cameos spring first to my mind. It makes Dr. Strange, Surgeon Supreme a worthwhile read, regardless of how long you've been on the Dr. Strange train.
