I received an ARC through NetGalley.

I was expecting a fun, kind of spooky, and sexy story when I started Haunted Chemistry. I wasn't expecting it to actually scare the crap out of me! I'm sure most readers will find this ghost story a little silly (it is), but as soon as a hand came out of that cupboard, I was terrified. No joke. I do spook easily though. Haunted Chemistry starts off with one of the biggest horror story cliches: doing laundry in the basement, at night, during a storm. Yep, that is exactly what Alexis plans to do when she runs into her crush, Ian, who has the same idea. Of course, these two plan to spend some alone time together while their clothes wash, but are soon interrupted when Alexis' cat starts acting weird...

Even though I was silently freaking out the entire time, I did enjoy Haunted Chemistry. It's super creepy, scary as hell, and I'm glad I read it during the day time! Ghost stories are usually so-so for me, but this one? I approve, although I don't think I could handle a reread of it. In addition to the chills and thrills, there's also a pretty steamy romance happening. Being attacked by a murderous ghost definitely gets the adrenaline running, and the best way to channel it is sex, duh! There's nothing graphic or even detailed, but it was still a satisfying little romance. That ending though...no way! I'm going to need something with sunshine, rainbows, and puppies after that!
