This book starts pretty much where the first one ended so if you haven't read it please don't read on because I don't want to spoil it for you, you can however read my review for the first book here.
So Mare is in a pretty dire situation at the beginning of this book. She's just been captured by Maven and tbh I didn't have a clue how she was going to get out of this one.
After their escape Mare and Cal spend the rest of the book secretly trying to find all the new bloods in Norta. They however are not the only ones looking for them. Maven leaves them so truly horrible scenes to find at some of the new bloods houses.
There was some really great characters that were introduced in this book. Nanny was my favourite.
The ending of this book had me wishing for the next book. It was quite shocking. I am really looking forward to the next book.
