I loved Jack F'ing Carter and his love story with his kitten. I wasn't sure how J. Sterling was going to make the retelling of book one better from Dean's POV, but let me tell you, you get a whole different perspective when you can hear what was going through Jack's head when he was at his worst.

We knew, through the first three books, that Dean was an integral part fo Jack. But he really was a rock for him. Dean was that steady, calming presence that helped Jack stay grounded. Reminded him of what was important. And was the voice of reason to tell him when he was an idiot and screwed up. I appreciated the bond between these brothers more through Dean's POV. I appreciated his friendship of Cassie, even when things with Jack were at their worst But even more, my heart broke just a little for what he gave up with Melissa to let Jack find his little piece of heaven with Cassie.

A great addition to an already fantastic series. If you love Jack F'ing Carter, you definitely need to grab this book t
