I liked the first book, loved the show, finally picked up book #2 and....was utterly bored. It takes place 30 years after book 1 and has virtually no connection as Kovachs is embroiled in a war on another planet. I thought it would get interesting when they went searching for alien artifacts, but even that managed to be boring. I slowly picked my way through this 30-40 pages at a time and breathed a sigh of relief when it was over.
