Pardon me as I squeal and run around the room a few times. Brindi Quinn is my favorite indie author (perhaps ever), so every new release gets me super excited. Her latest novel, Come True: A Bomb-Ass Genie Romance, immediately sounded like it would be another fantastic addition to her catalog. And, of course, the cover is fantastic.

Dolly Jones has tucked herself away in a depressing apartment with no fun and nothing bright in her life. It's a year of penance, she calls it. When that year is finally up, she'll be able to move on with her life.

There's only one problem. Well, problems, actually. First, Dolly is punishing herself for an event she literally does not remember. Second, the vase she just purchased isn't actually a vase, and it has released a new form of trouble in her life—trouble by the name of Velis Reilhander.

“Regret,” he says. “That's what I've been feeling from you, isn't it? We can use that, you know. Turn it into a wish.”

Words cannot express how much fun I had while reading Come True. It's clear that once again, Brindi Quinn has created a highly entertaining masterpiece, and I am in love. No, seriously, I love it. I've already read this book three times, and I've only had it for a couple of weeks. Give me time, and I know I'll be reading it at least once more.

Everything about Come True is designed to evoke emotions. The characters, the plot, and even the subplots are so well crafted. While it took me a while to fall for both leading characters, I fell hard when I did. There was so much depth hidden behind their introductions, and there is something beautifully human about that realization.

And the world! Or should I say, worlds? I have many questions about Velis's life and everything he's gone through. These questions indicate how much fun I had while reading because I got invested. I hope that Quinn will someday revisit this world so we can see more of it because there's so much potential here.

Before I finish my review, I want to give Brindi Quinn SO much credit for handling some difficult situations. I adore that she included a warning at the beginning of her book – I would love to see this happen more often.
