★★★☆ // i did not particularly enjoy the lengthy descriptions. for the most part, i just want it to get to the point. i guess i was expecting some sort of feeling of dread going into this? but it’s just impossible not to get sucked into Neil Gaiman’s world. while i am not a fan of the first few chapters, it did pick up its pace for me in the back half.
”I thought I wanted this. I thought I wanted a nice, normal life. I mean, maybe I am crazy. I mean, maybe. But if this is all there is, then I don’t want to be sane. You know?”
