I hate the accidental pregnancy trope, and that is exactly what Luck of the Draw is. Unfortunate for me. It's not in the description, so if it's a trope you dislike, now you know. Or if it's a trope you love, now you've found a secret one! It all starts when Rowan and Breck meet in Vegas. The two spend hours sharing conversation and flirting, before heading back to his room for a one-night-stand. At least that's what it was suppose to be, until Breck coincidentally books a long-term stay at Rowan's newly opened B&B.

Luck of the Draw was cute at first. I loved the idea of a Vegas fling, rather than the stereotypical drunken marriage. However, it quickly takes a turn for the worst when Rowan learns that she's pregnant. She hides if from Breck for six weeks, despite the two spending nearly every single waking moment together, as she tries to get to know the father of her future child. He doesn't even find out until 90%! The entire novella is Rowan thinking about telling them, then him distracting her, then maybe she's going to tell him now, but puts it off for breakfast. Until finally. Then they fight, he realizes the error of his ways (despite not doing anything wrong, in my opinion), and they live happily ever after. No.
