You Will Remember Me

You Will Remember Me is the newest novel by Hannah Mary McKinnon, and it is one of those thrillers that caught my attention right away. After all, it merges the lines between thriller, mystery, and suspense, which is always an ideal combination, if you ask me.

What would you do if you woke up in the middle of a beach with a cut on your head and no memories of how you got there? Worse, you don't remember who you are or anything else of value, just that you are all alone on this beach.

What would you do if your boyfriend up and went missing in the night? Would you assume that he left, or would you assume that something horrible has happened to him? Would you search for him or stew in anger?

“Forget the truth. Remember the lies.”

If you're looking for a fun and entertaining thriller read, then You Will Remember Me is the book for you. I found this one to be quick and enjoyable, though admittedly, it isn't hard to see how the story will end up.

Thankfully, that didn't take away any of the thrills here, which both impressed and surprised me. I think it helped that there were three main perspectives for this story (two hinted at in my bio, plus a third).

Their differing perspectives helped to change things up and even up the intrigue on multiple occasions. Sure, even then, it was still easy to see how the three perspectives fit together, but again, I didn't mind that.

Overall, I would say that You Will Remember Me is the perfect novel for a rainy spring day. Speaking from experience here.
