AJ Tucker works as a teacher, living a quiet life. AJ hides who he is and what he needs. Even in the beginning of the book is apparent that he is deeply unhappy and does not know how to fix it or if he is even worthy.

Logan Williams is a Dom and an author. He has won awards for his writing. Logan is in town to exact revenge on the submissive who left him. However, the man he finds is so unhappy he seems to wonder what happened, and how he can fix it.

The connection between AJ and Logan is intense. I like that no matter how much time passed the connection between them is still as intense. I also liked that Logan was not taking AJ’s objections seriously. He pushed at him until he opened up as to why he left.

I found this book well written with a unique plot. The main characters and the secondary characters were enthralling. At 98 pages, this book has a well-defined beginning, middle and ending. The only thing that bugged me was when the book flashed back to an earlier time, there was an indication of a flash back. However, when it went back to the present time there was nothing. I ended up getting confused as to what was past and what is present because of this. Overall, the story line is very captivating. I hope we get to see how these characters do in the near future.
