It was a bit weird diving into this one in the middle of the COVID-19 pandemic since there is a bit about smallpox in it. Once I got past that part, I enjoyed Alice's and Jane's time hopping adventures to correct time. In some books that can be confusing, Heartfield masters the jumps through time and it is easy to follow.
