Colorful, chunky, irresistible. Peter Lippman's 2.2-million-copy-bestselling Mini-House series is a hit with kids and adults alike. You pick one up. You hold it. You turn it around. You peer inside the windows, and then you pop the latch, opening the door to the story-and to a child's imagination. It's a Mini-House Book that's a Shoe! Mother Goose's House brings to life ten traditional Mother Goose rhymes-for a whole new lapful of readers.Selection of the Children's Book-of-the-Month Club. 276,000 copies in print.
This little hand held marvel if a house shaped board book is just shy of five stars as the door, or picket fence gate came off in the first opportunity of play in my toddler's hands. Otherwise this book is purely delightful and I can easily see why it could be a best seller.
It is fascinating to me, how Peter Luppman was able to take a goid handful of some of the best or at least most well kniwn to me Mother Goose nursey rhymes and put them in an order that the board book pages gradually get larger and then lessen again as you turn each page. Each rhyme has great images as just enough pages without encroaching on the next.
I would nor hesitate to look for more of these cute books in the future.
