I've loved all of Melissa's characters but something about Janie stuck with me. She is so strong willed and independant that you don't even think about feeling sorry for her. She wouldn't allow that. Janie is someone that you want to be friends with because she is just so inspirational.
Boyd Hudson is a tasty fireman with a big heart. He's always thinking about his family and doing what he thinks is best for them, even when it gets him in trouble.
These two are so perfect for each other you can't help but egg them on. Melissa has done a wonderful job of creating these two and describing the difficulties of Janie's blindness.
I really loved Boyd's family and I hope we get to catch up with them again.
