Ok - let's be clear, here. This wasn't going to be a heavy-hitting seriously contemplative mystery. The main hope on my part was that it would at least be interesting, maybe even fun, and not be derogatory towards either of the main characters. The book does accomplish these goals, and I did enjoy myself reading it. The snarky humor is not quite as good as what one tends to find in some of the better memes out there, but the author does have Biden and how he talks pretty down. The mystery was less mysterious than a convenient vehicle for Obama and Biden to get up to some shenanigans, but those shenanigans were entertaining. Overall, it's not high-quality literature. But it was fun, light-hearted (mostly) brain candy that made me smile and left me curious if there would be more.
