Some Facebook posts turned me onto this book when it released earlier this week and I'm glad I saw them.

This was one of those stories that had me wondering what could possible happen to turn things around for poor Dahlia London. She loses so much so very early on in the story that I was seriously wondering just how her broken soul was ever going to mend. But Fate steps in at just the right time to put her in the path of the one man that ever made her question just what her fiance Ben meant to her.

River Wilde had an instant connection with Dahlia. When they met again, he instantly soothes her broken soul and she finds herself enjoying life again and completely losing herself to River, despite what she felt for Ben. She questions every feeling and every touch, because with River everything feels "big".

I enjoyed following River and Dahlia as they try to weed through her emotional mine field. River is determined to keep Dahlia in his life this time and goes to great lengths to make sure she knows that. The combination of sweetness, understanding and sexiness go a long way to finally convince Dahlia being with him is exactly what she needs.

There is a bit of a mystery surrounding Ben. Because of certain events, Ben still plays a vital role in River and Dahlia's romance. It's a role, as we get to the cliffhanger ending, that I'm sure will have tremendous effect on what the future holds for River and Dahlia.

According to Kim Karr's web site, TORN, the last book in this two book series, will be out in the Fall of 2013. This was a strong enough story that I will definitely be anxiously awaiting the next book.
