I've heard so much about this book, and I would've loved to read it while it was being written on Wattpad, but I was late to the party. Fortunately I got myself a paperback copy of the book upon release.

This is a dark and twisted tale about two young people who're trying to get by, one more than the other. It comes with lots of trigger warnings, and I wouldn't recommend it to young ones. There's so many issues going on in the main character's life, I can't even begin to list them. And I won't, because where's the fun in that.

I get that it's not everyone's cup of tea, and I can definitely see why, but I absolutely loved it, and I feel myself long for more dark romances. It was eye opening to me how much I enjoyed this book, but it was really, really good. The characters were all raw and broken, but some of them developed more than others. I absolutely loved that. I had a problem with the names though; I kept confusing Asa with Sloan and vice versa, but that's a detail.

What I disliked about this book was the way it was set up. It had chapters, then it went on to an epilogue, then some more epilogues, some prologues, some endings etc. It's stated in the beginning that it's set up as it was written on Wattpad, but it felt unnecessary and could've used a bit of editing to cut down the "epilogues," but well. I still liked it.

I liked the writing style, and it's clear that CoHo is a master at what she does. One can only hope that she'll write more dark and twisted romances like this.
