I picked up Martian Manhunter on an impulse. I don’t know much about the character, minus what I’ve been told and what I saw of him in Injustice. But it was enough for me to be curious about this series.
I really enjoyed they way they set up this issue. It had a slow build to it, and even though we could kind of guess where they were going with it, I still found it enjoyable. I’m not sure how hardcore fans of the character would feel about the series though, so take my opinion as the two cents that it is.
I absolutely adored the artwork for the issue. It felt like they were really able to take advantage of the style and really experiment with the way the story was told. It flowed perfectly as well, which is a huge plus for me (nothing aggravates me more than having to guess which panel is next).
