Shelby built something fantastic with her sports blog. It was a huge part of her recovery and now, the start of a career. I really liked her backstory, but it was Alex's backstory that really hit me in the feels. He was the son of a hockey hero, who was constantly felt like he wasn't good enough, and now, he had to live in the shadow of not only his father, but he recently discovered half-brother. He struggled with who he was and trusting his talent, and it was great that he had someone like Shelby on his side. Someone who believed in him and really "saw" him.
I think that makes the story sound heavy, but it's not. It was a lot of fun with a plethora of rom-com moments. That final chapter and the epilogue was gold standard for me. I live for that sort of stuff. I actually shed a few happy tears during the epilogue, because it was so darn sweet.
Another great addition to the Ice Knights series.
