I really enjoyed reading this, though I won’t say that it was an “easy” book. Unfortunately, doing the right thing in a marriage is something that takes work and humility, and as the author pointed out, it means doing these things regardless of what your husband does. Ouch!

I’m so glad no punches were pulled here. The author shared the truth about how wives should behave towards their husband in a way that was honest and helpful. She provided an easy way to remember what she shared and filled the book with illustrations to back up her points.

In the Lord’s typical timing, shortly after I finished reading this book, a friend was telling me of her struggle in letting her husband make a decision she felt was unwise, and was asking for prayer. Before I had read this, I wouldn’t have really known how to advise her and would have just prayed; however the author addresses this exact situation and gave such a wise and godly way of dealing with it, I had to share. I really appreciate how relevant it is.

Though the subject matter was challenging (and how could it not be!), the author wrote in an engaging and interesting manner, making me want to keep reading to the end.

Wives who are looking for practical, Biblical advice on how they can obey the admonition for us to love our husbands will be blessed by reading this. And women who are about to be married ought to read it as well.
