Three quarters of this book was a tad on the 'hurry-up-and-get-to-the-point' side but the end quarter made me excited to read the last book in the series! Though I do wish there had been more magic-y stuff happening.

I thought there was a rather cliché love triangle and did not feel like Sophie and Archer really had any connection. But what evs. Apparently it was enough to think they loved each other. I think the romance was disappointing, the triangle was pushed and not given a fair chance, and I wasn't really surprised by anything that happened.

I still need to find out what happens next though!
