An interesting read about some very interesting women from Ireland. Some public and some private figures who in many ways changed the present. Many of them were educated in Ireland as well as working in Ireland, some emigrated, all had successful careers as scientists.

It's something I would recommend people to read while studying Irish Science. It is a companion to Stars, Shells and Bluebells.
