Vance... Swimmer trying to get a full-ride scholarship to college so he can take the burden off his father. He is in love with his straight best friend Harden.
Harden... The Governor's son, swimmer, and Vance's best friend since they were 5 years old.
Story... Vance has two major worries in his final year of high school, getting a full-ride scholarship to college and still being a virgin. After finding out Vance is a virgin, Harden agrees to help him with his situation. Needing to keep their relationship quiet because Harden's father may be the biggest challenge when Harden decides he does not want to hide anymore.
My thoughts... I enjoyed Vance and Harden's story of firsts and discovery. The flirting, tension, and chemistry between them is hot and steamy. This was my first book by J.R. Gray and I am sure it will not be my last. The only thing I would have enjoyed more about this book is if we had Harden's point of view also.
