An enjoyable collection of stories all with Hill's unique voice but otherwise quite different. "Pascoe's Ghost" and "Dalziel's Ghost" kick off and close the book with traditional yet somewhat quirky mystery, and the stories in between provide more variety, of which the puzzling and suspenseful escape tale, "Exit Lines", is the most original and impressive.
