The sexual tension between Margaret and Cameron was so intense that it leapt off the pages. Cameron has been entertaining naughty fantasies about Margaret which she had any idea about would make her blush.
Margaret and Cameron are from wealthy, but this was where their similarities ended. Cameron was from a loving and caring family while Margaret spent most of her life trying to win her father’s love and approval. The way that man treated his daughters was a clear indication that he was a male chauvinist. Each time he made an appearance I wanted to knock his lights out.
Cameron was the type of guy most women dream about having in their lives. He was overwhelmed with running the business that his father left him as such he was not keen on getting involved in a committed relationship. He feared that if he should get involved with Margaret she would end up getting hurt as he would not be able to give her his undivided attention. As such he was willing to sacrifice his happiness if it meant protecting Maragret. He is the type of guy who loves with every fibre of his being. They brought out the best in each other which made them perfect together. I could not help but root for them.
Aside from the romance between Margaret’s and Cameron’s there were other events taking place. This event would end up placing Margaret in danger. This added some amount of intrigue to the story.
The story was well written, the pacing was just right and there was never a dull moment. It held my interest from start to finish which made it difficult for me to put it down. It is my opinion that this title, which can be read as a stand-alone, is a great addition to the Winslow Brothers series. I will be eagerly awaiting the next book in the series as I am curious to know what next the author has in store for her readers.
