This is one of those books that is nice little gem that your glad you discovered. It has small little plot twists through out the story that keeps you guessing from page to page what exactly is going to happen.

The reason it got a 3 as it a new to me author that while i was pleasantly entertained as i read the story, it did take me a while to get into the story and i never did quite figure out what the whole element of the taboos was about. I know they part of the contract to keep the circus going but i think that needs to be explained better, as well as the cords part of the story.

The plus is that this is not a stand alone novel and their more to the story which will probably help with some of my questions. A great first novel.
