Jill and Davis are just scorching hot for each other in Playing With Her Heart. There's this instant attraction, but Davis doesn't want to get involved with another actress who will use him to get her career started, and Jill is pursuing her six year crush. But when no one else is around, they cannot fight the tension! It is lust at first sight! They are doing it everywhere! Of course, lust has to turn to love eventually, but the passion was still there.
I really liked how all of the drama was handled in Playing With Her Heart. It would have been easy for Jill to have gotten involved with Patrick, gotten caught with Davis, and then ruined the show. Similarly, it would have been easy to Jill to make Davis think she's using him, and cause a big fight. Neither of these things happen. Everything is handled in unexpected ways. Yes, there are still moments of misunderstandings that tear our lovers apart, but they do come back together and talk things out because they care about each other.
Playing With Her Heart was just another great addition to this series. I enjoyed being back in New York after the departure in the previous book, and getting to see Kat again as she plans her wedding. I feel like everything has come full circle.
