It's funny - I read the first two books in the series so I could read this one and unfortunately I enjoyed the first two a lot more than I did this one. I was really looking forwards to Aideen and Alex's story but it was just missing something. The spark between them that was so strong in the first book was just gone. Or at least, flickering. They still had the banter and Aideen was still competent - but the mischievousness Aideen had previously shown didn't really come out. And since it was supposed to be the Rules of the Rogue from a female view, I kind of expected Jack and Aideen to plot a hell of a lot more - get Sophie (from the first book) into it, pull in Meghan (the Duke's mum) and girl power it. I mean the first book had the whole bromance between Bram and Alex and Jack, the second had Jack and Asher and this one had like one instance of Jack and Aideen discussing jealousy.

It wasn't bad, just wasn't as good as I was anticipating. It was a bit light on romance and mystery/suspense but the banter was funny and it was an easy read. 3.5 stars.
