This new issue of Pearl starts off a new plot arc for the series. I think they had originally only intended for the series to be six issues long, but because it was so popular they opted to go with more. That’s fine by me! The artwork alone was enough to get me coming back.
I feel like they laid the groundwork for a lot of events to come, which means that this was a setup issue more than anything. We did learn a bit more about the character dynamics though, which is always fun.
