Taken at Dusk (Shadow Falls, #3)

by C C Hunter

Kylie Galen believes that if she can just uncover what she is, all the other uncertainties in her life will suddenly make sense. And things really need to make sense right now. For starters, her heart is still torn between Lucas and Derek - or it was. Now, she's beginning to wonder if she was wrong about both boys. But it's not just romance that's leaving Kylie conflicted. She's also being haunted by an amnesia-stricken ghost who can't remember who she is. Complicating matters even more is the message the spirit brings from the world beyond: Death is imminent for someone at Shadow Falls Camp - and this time, there's nothing Kylie can do to stop it...

I really, really liked this series. I love the characters, the plot, the writing, and just everything. I really like the setting especially for these books. The idea of a camp for “troubled” kids that are supernatural is a really cool idea. The plot was a little boring sometimes, mostly because Kylie is trying to figure out what she is. It’s and important part of the story so it has to be there. I’d just like a little more action. There’s more action at the end though I find. I really liked the little twist with the villain. Basically this book has a really fun plot.

I really like most of the characters. Obviously I don’t like the villains, but that’s the point. My favourite is Lucas. He’s a super strong and attractive werewolf. I really enjoy his personality. I’m not a huge fan of Derek though. He’s too whiny and acts like a baby sometimes. If Kylie ends up back with him I’ll be really upset. I like her most of the time. I don’t like how she can’t 100% choose a guy. I normally hate books like that but this one is really interesting. I love both of Kylie room-mates. They’re both super cool.
