First let me tell you how absolutely in love with giant lap board books I am! This is a new discovery for me still and I am loving it. (First discovered them from Tommy Nelson and [a:Liz Curtis Higgs|6214|Liz Curtis Higgs|http://photo.goodreads.com/authors/1220363584p2/6214.jpg]'s republished format of her Parables Series.) While reading this story is a bit reminicent of Big and Little in [b:Guess How Much I Love You|301736|Guess How Much I Love You|Sam McBratney|http://photo.goodreads.com/books/1320457007s/301736.jpg|45331], I enjoyed this one so much more.

Especially now as we have hit a bit of night time separation anxiety in my toddler reading about small's worries and the reassurance provided by Large has become very valuable. A parent's unconditional love for their child is often hard to explain and this story provides a great way to share that reassurance. I love when illustrator's write their own children's books and [a:Debi Gliori|119357|Debi Gliori|http://www.goodreads.com/images/nophoto/nophoto-U-50x66.jpg] has made a fan out of me. I will be looking for her other books.
